I'm taking part in the Artist Support Pledge, set up by Matthew Burrows @matthewburrowsstudio, it's a global movement in support of artists and makers. Read more about the Artist Support Pledge on my blog post.

In essence, the Artist Support Pledge supports artists and creatives. It creates a micro-economy whereby, artists sell their work using the hashtag #artistsupportpledge, when an artist or creative earns £1000, they pledge to spend £200 on art from other artists and creatives via the hashtag.

I've used purple & turquoise acrylic paint in a creative and used fluid way, creating marks similar to using inks and washes. I've allowed the paint to pool and colour the canvas which contrasts with the linear lines and textured marks of the painting in this expressive abstract landscape.

Here I've photographed the painting outside, which really highlights the tones, mark-making, and contrast in the painting. highlighting the depth of colour in the turquoise.
